Sadie was bought specifically to show from her breeders Al & Jan Favell. She had
many wins both at Championship and Open level but the one I remember most is the
one pictured, her first show at Manchester Championship Show, 6 months old and
competing with bitches up to 12 months old, it was a big class and she won –
this was my first Championship show winner and my first Crufts qualifier (had to
be first in those days). Sadie had a good career in the show ring and later had
2 large litters of puppies. Unfortunately she had only one bitch puppy who went
on to be Argentinean Grand Champion Doraemi Roxanne.
Sadie also had her own headstone and lies in the orchard under a lavender bush
aptly named ‘Little Lady’
